Our Commitment to Zero Defect Optics
Gain more satisfied customers when quality is introduced into every polymer—from formulation to finishing. Our Quality Management System (QMS) governs the full lifecycle of our products, encompassing rigorous controls, advanced metrology, and continuous improvement practices that deliver precise, repeatable, auditready reports for optical applications.
QMS Overview
Our QMS is built to support regulated and highreliability markets in optics and photonics, following these criteria:
Process Driven Controls
Documented SOPs for formulation, casting, curing, annealing, machining, and packaging.
Risk Management
FMEA and control plans at material, process, and product levels.
Data Integrity
Electronic records with rolebased access, immutable logs, and full traceability from raw resin lot to finished sheet.
Change Control
Formal Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) with impact assessment, validation, and customer notification workflows.
Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
Rootcause analysis (e.g., 5Whys, Fishbone) tied to measurable effectiveness checks. Certifications and scopes can be listed here (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, RoHS/REACH compliance) based on your current status.
End to End Quality Controls
Supplier and Incoming Quality
- Approved Supplier List (ASL) and periodic audits
- Certificate of Analysis (CoA) verification
- Incoming inspection for purity, moisture content, viscosity, and contaminants
- Quarantine and disposition process for nonconformances
In Process Quality
- Realtime monitoring of temperature, pressure, cure profile, and line speed
- SPC (Statistical Process Control) on critical parameters: thickness, refractive index, haze, and birefringence
- Inline vision systems for early detection of inclusions, voids, and surface defects
Final Inspection and Release
- Lotbased sampling via AQL plans matched to customer risk and application
- Optical verification: nD (refractive index), Abbe/dispersion, transmittance, haze, color (ΔE)
- Dimensional checks: thickness tolerance, flatness, warp
- Mechanical/thermal screening: hardness, tensile, Tg, dimensional stability
Metrology and Test Capabilities
All equipment is maintained under a documented calibration program traceable to recognized standards. To ensure consistent, repeatable equipment performance, we maintain a calibrated laboratory under the following tools:
Spectrophotometry
Total and diffuse transmission, haze, wavelengthspecific measurements
Laser Micrometry and Interferometry
Thickness and flatness (where applicable)
Thermal Cycling
Environmental reliability in highhumidity exposure, UV weathering, and chemical resistance
Shore/Durometer
Mechanical tensile strength, impact, and hardness
Particle and Inclusion Analysis
Cleanliness under controlled conditions
Traceability and Data Integrity
Every lot is fully traceable through the following processes:
Lot Genealogy
Raw materials → process steps → equipment → operators → test results
Electronic Device History Records (eDHR)
Batch travelers with timestamps and approvals
Labeling and Serialization
Scannable IDs for quick access to certificates and test data. We provide Material Data Sheets, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), and Lotspecific Test Reports upon request.
Defect Prevention and Continuous Improvement
DoE (Design of Experiments)
Optimizes cure profiles, additives, and line conditions for stability and yield
SPC Dashboards
Cp/Cpk tracking on critical characteristics (e.g., thickness, haze, nD)
CAPA Effectiveness
Postimplementation monitoring and audit closures
Gemba and Layered Audits
Routine checks to reinforce standards at the point of production
Sampling Plans and Acceptance Criteria
We align inspection intensity to application risk through the following:
Critical Optical Applications
Tightened AQL, 100% visual on highrisk surfaces, enhanced metrology.
General Optical/Architectural
Standard AQL with defined escalation triggers
Custom Projects
Customerdefined sampling or zerodefect criteria via special control plans. Acceptance criteria can be tied to your ADC Values Chart and Cast Sheet Quality Chart for a unified specification framework.
Change Management and Customer Communication
We maintain transparent communication on any change that may impact form, fit, function, or regulatory compliance through:
- Prenotification with risk assessment
- Sidebyside data comparisons
- Qualification and validation support (IQ/OQ/PQ where required)
- Controlled firstarticle runs and PPAPstyle submissions (if applicable)
Training and Competency
- Rolebased training matrix with initial qualification and annual recertification
- Method competency checks (e.g., Gage R&R for critical measurement systems)
- Quality culture reinforced through metrics, recognition, and leadership engagement
Customer Focused Quality Services
- Custom Test Protocols and Certificates tailored to your specification
- First Article Inspection (FAI) and Golden Sample retention
- OnSite/Remote Audits and technical reviews
- Data Packages with full optical/mechanical profiles and raw data export
